Can an average person develop Insomnia on their own by changing sleep habits or not sleeping at all?

I am curious to know if it’s possible to develop a sleeping disorder such as insomnia by staying awake and/or changing of sleeping habits and schedules to very few hours if any.

How do you know if you have Sleep Apnea ?

I was wondering if anyone on here has sleep apnea and how do you feel when you have it ? The reason I ask is because I was wondering if I had sleep apnea a perfect example is: There are times when I will wake up gasping and choking and continuous coughing and my throat feels a bit rare and sore. Are these some symptoms for people with Sleep Apnea?

Blue light for sleep disorder?

I have a severe sleep disorder since last year. I usually sleep at 4 or 6 am, and wake up at 12 or 2 pm. I had tried sleeping pills but they make feel with less energy during the day. I even had to change my working schedule to the afternoon because it has been impossible for me to wake up in the morning. Does someone knows at what time of the day apply blue light therapy in my particular case?

Thanks!

Does sleep deprivation lead to a permanent loss of motivation?

I am just curious because one year I would always go to bed at like 3 or 4 and get an average of 3 to 4 hours of sleep and this resulted in poor grades, as I lost the will to try and also slept in class.
